NWTF and Sky High for St. Jude Sign MOU to Promote Outdoor Lifestyle

June 14, 2016 / Edgefield, South Carolina

The National Wild Turkey Federation and Sky High for St. Jude recently announced a partnership for providing hunting and outdoor opportunities to patients and families of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

“Sky High is honored to partner with the National Wild Turkey Federation to spread awareness for our program Sky High Adventures,” said Brittany Hebert, founder and board president of Sky High for St. Jude. “For nearly ten years we have worked to provide comfort and save live at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House of Memphis. That includes taking St. Jude families on once-in-a-lifetime outdoor hunting adventures.”

The agreement establishes a partnership for cooperation and collaboration between Sky High and NWTF to support activities that promote and preserve our nation’s hunting heritage through providing opportunities for hunting and outdoor activities to patients of St. Jude and their families across the country to better deliver on the mission of both organizations.

“The agreement with Sky High will open new doors for recruiting hunters, a primary goal of our Save the Habitat. Save the Hunt. initiative. But most importantly, the agreement provides patients at St. Jude the opportunity to enhance their healing process through outdoor activities,” said NWTF CEO George Thornton.

The NWTF and Sky High for St. Jude agree to support and promote policies and projects of common interest including but not limited to collaboration with NWTF staff and volunteers at local, state and national levels to facilitate mentored hunting opportunities for St Jude patients and families; contributing to each organization’s outreach programs; coordinating messaging and provide speaking opportunities at national, regional and state meetings; and developing co-branded materials targeting donors, volunteers and event participants.
